21 Jan A winter garden in an ancient property
In a historical property in the hills at the foot of the Castle of San Colombano the client asks us to design a new Orangery .
The site is strongly characterized by architectural presences, ancient and valuable, around the main villa had led the customer to think of locating the glasshouse as close as possible to the place where he lives.
There where the landscape has a very important historical importance, often no importance is given to the most marginal, abandoned places, perhaps submerged by vegetation …..
Instead, it is precisely these places that stimulate the project of reuse, the choice of location and the connotations both material and spatial.
In this place, an abandoned terrace, immersed in the historicity of the surrounding landscape has inspired us the project of the insertion of the new Orangery set in the existing land.
Within the more general landscape project, the new Orangery creates continuity at the level of the paths leading to the pool and the temple of love.
